Right at Home UK is seeking a Non-Executive Director to support its strategic diversification into children’s care homes. While the adult care business is well established, this new venture requires specialist insight to build a high-quality, sustainable operation. The successful candidate will provide independent oversight, challenge, and strategic guidance to the Board, ensuring growth, governance, and regulatory compliance are achieved as the children’s care business scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape the growth and delivery strategy for the children’s care homes business.
- Provide oversight and constructive challenge on location strategy, scaling, and operational delivery.
- Support governance, risk management, and regulatory readiness in a highly regulated sector.
- Bring sector-specific insight to complement the Board’s adult care expertise.
- Contribute to building a sustainable, high-quality children’s care operation.
Candidate Profile – Essential Experience
- Senior-level experience in children’s residential care.
- Proven track record in growth, expansion, or scaling within regulated care environments.
- Experience with location strategy and operational delivery planning.
- Strong strategic thinking and constructive challenge at Board level.
- Governance awareness and understanding of regulatory complexity.
- Previous NED or Board experience is expected.
Remuneration & Appointment
- £1,500–£2,000 per day.
- Approx. 2 days per month, including quarterly Board meetings and additional engagement during growth phases.
- Strategic, high-impact NED role focused on building a new business line within an established organisation.
