Non-Executive Director (NED) Profile – VC-Backed EdTech Business
We are supporting a VC-backed EdTech business seeking to appoint an experienced Non-Executive Director to support the company through a pivotal stage of growth and strategic development.
The business is entering an important phase of scaling and is looking for a commercially minded NED who can provide strategic guidance, independent challenge, and leadership support as the company evaluates future growth opportunities, funding decisions, and organisational development.
Working closely with the founders, executive team, and investors, the successful candidate will bring experience from high-growth technology, SaaS, or EdTech environments and will be comfortable operating within ambitious, investor-backed businesses.
Key Areas of Focus
- Supporting strategic growth and scaling discussions
- Advising on funding strategy, investor engagement, and capital planning
- Providing mentorship and support to the leadership team
- Contributing to governance, operational maturity, and decision-making processes
- Offering independent perspective during periods of rapid growth and change
- Supporting leadership capability, culture, and organisational development
Ideal Experience
- Previous NED, advisor, or senior executive experience within EdTech, SaaS, or high-growth technology businesses
- Experience working within VC-backed or investor-led environments
- Exposure to fundraising, scaling businesses, or exit preparation
- Strong commercial and strategic judgement
- Ability to support and challenge leadership teams constructively

Commitment & Remuneration
- Approximately 1–3 days per month
- London-based business with the majority of Board and leadership support delivered virtually
- Competitive annual remuneration of £40,000
